Ultimate Set List Wednesday #1: Modest Mouse
In my spare time I imagine the perfect set list for my favorite bands. They’re not just my favorite songs slapped together, but composed in an order that I think would be amazing.
A lot of people know MM only from their hit “Float On” but their back catalogue is intimidatingly large and filled with so many gems. “The Lonesome Crowded West” is, in my opinion, the perfect musical encapsulation of the angst and social disintegration that defined the 1990s. And now, in the second decade of the 21st century they continue to redefine the poorly named “post-rock” genre.
